Re-membering the past, living the present, imagining the future
A collaboration between Vertical Dance Kate Lawrence and Dance Collective CIC featuring dancers from Young and Adult Fliers and Family Dance groups at Venue Cymru. The project celebrated the newly refurbished Colwyn Bay Pier in a fun and thought-provoking way, highlighting its beautiful architectural structure. Soundscore was made and played live by Henry Horrell and featured recorded memories of local people. The promenade performance took place on top and underneath the pier. Audiences were invited to gaze out to sea – to other places and spaces – to dip their toes in the future.
